In 1971, Wayne Crawford laid the foundation for what would become Wayne Crawford Siding, Windows & Gutter. Following in the footsteps of his father, a skilled siding contractor who trained him from a young age, Wayne embarked on a journey to create a company synonymous with honesty and top-notch craftsmanship. Alongside his devoted wife, Dee, and their two sons, Rick and Pat, Wayne established a showroom and warehouse in historic downtown Topeka, a stone’s throw away from the state capital.

Three Decades of Dedication

For over 30 years, Wayne and his dedicated crews, many of whom were family members, poured their hearts into growing the business and building a reputation as one of the area’s most reliable and skilled contractors. The pride they took in their work was evident in every installation, earning them the trust of countless homeowners seeking exceptional service.

Passing the Torch

In 2001, Wayne decided to enjoy a well-deserved retirement, but fate had other plans. The following year, the unexpected loss of their beloved son, Rick, cast a shadow over the family. At this pivotal moment, Wayne’s youngest son, Pat, stepped up to lead the daily operations of the business, ensuring that his father’s legacy and commitment to excellence would live on.

Continuing the Tradition

Although Wayne sadly passed away in 2006 after a brief battle with cancer, his spirit and values endure through Pat and his wife, Tonya. They carry the company’s torch forward as Crawford Siding, Window & Gutter, LLC, alongside a team of dedicated employees, some of whom have been faithfully serving the company for nearly two decades.

A New Chapter in Lawrence

In 2006, Pat and his family moved to Lawrence, where they quickly earned a reputation as the preferred contractor within the community. Pat and Tonya’s devotion to their craft and commitment to exceptional service have allowed them to leave a lasting impression on every project they undertake.

Family, Community, and Growth

Pat and Tonya are not only dedicated business owners but proud parents as well. They have two sons, one who recently graduated from Lawrence Free State High School and embarked on a journey to study film at KU. Their youngest son is a student at Lawrence High School. We volunteer with local youth sports and community shelters.
